Zucchini Noodles Made Easy With the Veggetti

I have always wanted to try Zucchini Noodles.  Last week I finally went out and bought a Veggetti to make my own veggie noodles. I used the veggetti and it was as easy as described and made delicious zoodles.

Ingredients:
- 1 medium zucchini
- 1 cup shredded chicken
- 2 slices cooked bacon
- 2 Tbsp Parmesan
- 1 Tbsp Balsamic dressing
- 1 tsp Bacon fat

Preparation:
Clean zucchini and use veggetti to make 1 serving of zoodles.  Cook bacon in skillet, drain on paper towel, and reserve 1 tsp of grease to saute noodles to desired firmness.  Add bacon and chicken. Sprinkle cheese and mix in balsamic.  To make it paleo, leave out the cheese. What a great way to add veggies to your meals!

Fall Festivities at Oktoberfest

We made our annual trip to Helen, Ga this weekend and now I feel like it is officially Fall!

The 1st night We arrived at our cabin just before sundown.

The next day we drove down to the city for the Oktoberfest fun.

We feasted

We drank

Just coffee for me, I was DD for the day. I had the most amazing Salted Caramel Latte, mmmmm

And enjoyed the day

We made it back home in time for the husband to watch GT defeat Miami.

I welcomed fall with my 1st glass of Apple Cider.

Then we played games until 3 AM in the morning: spades, pool, taboo, and heads up.

Heads up was so much fun! Our last round was from the 90's category and after we finished we sat around talking about how awesome the 90's were. Which lead to me making this

Do you remember making/playing with these?

The next morning we left the cabin just before 11 and made our way back to the city for a lil shopping and wine tasting.

We picked up some coffee at Jumping Goat. Then we headed over to Nora's Mill for tasty samples and fresh ground goods.  The fresh cornbread and moonshine jelly was yummy and had a nice lil kick to it.

Then we headed over to Habersham Winery for a wine tasting and to purchase a few bottles to take home.

We wrapped up the day with a trip up to Anna Ruby falls.

Another trip to Helen in the books and fall is officially here! Looking forward to our next visit.

Challenge Accepted! Let the Games Begin!

Disclosure: This post was sponsored by The Fitness Games through their partnership with Fit Approach. I was not compensated monetarily, but was provided the Platinum Version of the application for review. As always, all thoughts are my own.

I was first introduced to The a Fitness Games (TFG) this year during the Peachtree Running Expo. There I had the pleasure of meeting TFG's creators Arya Farzin and Joseph Phillips.

They were so passionate about their product and I thought it was such a novel idea. The Fitness Games (TFG) turns exercise into a fun social game. You can challenge anyone, anywhere, anytime, to any type of workout. TFG creates a community for fitness geeks like myself to compete against current friends or new friends via the app, Facebook page, and across social media.

Initially I opened the app with the intent of utilizing 1 of the 50 pre-programmed there workouts to compete with others.

The free workouts were pretty intense; intermediate or advanced. But, I want to start smaller. Then I discovered I had the capability to create my own workout. So I created my own challenge.

The 1st workout I tried to create was a 12 minute fitness test. But, I couldn't get it to function the way I wanted.

On my 2nd attempt I successfully completed the 10 minute "Total Body Blast" Challenge! Within the app I had the option to include reps and sets or a timed workout. The app also includes an exercise library with photos and descriptions of the exercises; their is also an option to create a custom exercise if the movement you want to use is not fount in the app.

Then I challenged my friend, sister, and fellow SPA !

As the app continues to expand I would love to see more beginner level workouts available for free and previews of the workouts prior to purchase.

I look forward to creating and sending more challenges to clients, friends, and fellow fitness geeks.

Check out TFG and challenge me to "Total Body Blast".

Health and Happiness,

Larissa
